Q1- Who are you and what do you do for the organisation?
My name’s Emily and I am the head of dance teaching intermediate and advanced dance classes. I also teach the competition team senior pulse.
Q2- What’s the best thing about your job?
Seeing my creative ideas come to life so successfully and seeing how proud the students are when they achieve new moves and amazing routine. It makes me very proud to see their success and happiness.
Q3- What did your parents do whilst you were growing up?
My mum was and still is a teaching assistant at a primary school whilst my dad was a police officer. He now has his own painting and decorating business!
Q4- If you were in a witness protection program what would be your new name and where would you go?
Minnie Wallace and I would go to Scotland. Its a lovely place with friendly people and much quieter than the Midlands
Q5- What’s the worst thing about your job?
Honestly , probably working evenings ! Such unsociable hours as a dance teacher but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Q6- What’s your dream musical role and why?
Regina George from Mean Girls because her character is so far from who I am in real life. i think it would be great fun to play a character like hers! Plus she has insane songs to sing
Q7- Name something on your bucket list?
Travel around Australia and New Zealand
Q8- What’s the weirdest thing about you?
I’m obsessed with smelling my dogs paws! They smell like warm popcorn and nachos
Q9- Who’s the teacher that had the greatest impact on you as a person?
Probably any of my dance teachers at LIPA. They were all so amazing at what they did and I always took everything they said on board. My time at LIPA was some of my most cherished years and the amazing teachers definitely had a massive part in that. I looked up to them a lot.
Q10- What quote has had the biggest impact on you?
Yesterday is history , tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift, that’s why its called the present – Kung Fu Panda
